Landscapes
In 1993, I began a series of paintings that had as their source, the view from my son's bedroom window.
In addition to the actual view itself, the landscapes are significantly informed by my work in collage (the consideration given to color, sizes & shapes and the marriage of differences) . Of course, their vocabulary: the play of geometric and organic forms, as well as a dialogue between representation and abstraction is evident in all of my work.
The View From Andrew's Room series continues to hold my interest. The body of work presently consists of over 100 paintings and works on paper.
